seismic risk in urban areas

The research (for the Umbria Region) belongs to urban scale seismic prevention studies. It has three main objectives: experimenting the ELC (Emergency limit condition) and Strategic urban framework (SUM in italian) in four cities in Umbria; defining general criteria to evaluate the ELC and the seismic emergency management system; focusing on planning consequences of ELC and SUM at a local planning scale

The activities involve analyses at different scales on four settlements (Acquasparta, Bastia Umbra, Bevagna, Marsciano) from territorial and urban studies up to buildig scale surveys

Main results are guidelines and references to promote the reduction of seismic risk through master plans
